fall is here, and so are figs
The summer is gone and with the start of fall we are also welcoming the marvellous fig into our plates. Warm days and play are gone and now it’s time to go back to business. No more watermelons, peaches or apricots. We have only the fig. In ancient Greece, the fig was a symbol of maturity. Its outer skin is modest and somewhat dull, but its interior is sweet and full of colour. The fig doesn’t try to please - it’s for us to discover its infinite beauty.
